What does concrete removal cost in Austin?

What makes tear-out cost more?
Thickness, steel, access and distance. The final number depends on how thick the slab is, whether it holds rebar or mesh, whether equipment can reach it, and how far the debris travels for disposal. After demolition, contractors may also need to regrade or add a thicker gravel layer before the new pour, so ask whether that is priced.
How long does removal take?
Most driveways come out in 1 day; larger slabs or jobs that need saw-cutting take 1–2 days, according to an Austin-area demolition company. The new pour follows once the base is regraded and, where the job reaches the street, inspected.
Where does the old concrete go?

Should tear-out be its own line on the quote?
